An Italian wedding in the heart of bromley

I had the pleasure of photographing a beautiful Bromley church wedding — an Italian celebration right in the heart of Bromley. The couple, both Italian and living locally, brought a wonderful sense of warmth, family, and tradition to their day.

I began the morning at their home, capturing some relaxed preparations and meeting their family before walking together to the church. Friends and relatives had travelled from Italy to celebrate with them, filling the church with chatter, emotion, and excitement. By pure chance, the priest spoke Italian and conducted the ceremony in their native language — at times, it genuinely felt as though I had been transported straight to Italy.

After the church service, we made a brief stop at Bromley Palace Park for a few quick portraits before heading on to Sundridge Park Golf Club for the reception. The couple had an unexpected surprise in store for their guests: an interactive murder mystery experience. Actors from Murders on Demand led a lively performance throughout the wedding breakfast, with guests working together to uncover who the murderer was — a brilliant way to keep everyone entertained and involved.

Once the mystery was solved and the winning guest awarded their prize, it was time to cut the cake and move onto the dance floor, where the celebrations continued late into the evening. A truly memorable day filled with personality, laughter, and a touch of Italian magic.
